My Story
I didn’t begin my life as a therapist.
My first career was in fashion, where I spent many years designing and creating between Tokyo, New York, and Europe. I was drawn to beauty, craftsmanship, and the quiet ways that our surroundings shape how we feel. Looking back, I can see that even then I was searching for harmony—although I didn’t yet know it would lead me to the human body rather than clothing.
The deeper turning point came through my own life.
Like many people who find this work, my path wasn’t shaped only by study but by lived experience. I became deeply curious about why some experiences stay with us long after they have passed. Why does the body continue to carry tension, fear, or disconnection even when our mind understands that we are safe? Why do certain patterns repeat across generations? And what allows genuine healing—not simply coping—to take place?
These questions became the foundation of my life’s work.
Born in Tokyo and moving to the United States at fifteen, I have always lived between cultures. Japan gave me an appreciation for stillness, subtlety, and presence. Years of meditation and the influence of Zen cultivated a way of listening that values silence as much as words. Later, Daoist philosophy expanded my understanding of healing through flow, reminding me that nature never forces transformation—it unfolds in its own time.
For nearly twenty years, I have devoted myself to studying the remarkable intelligence of the human body. My work has been shaped by CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, Five Element Theory, Systemic Family Constellation work, meditation, and other trauma-informed approaches. Each has offered a different language, yet they all point toward the same truth: beneath our protective patterns lives an innate capacity for regulation, resilience, and wholeness.
This work is deeply personal to me. I know what it feels like to long for a sense of home within yourself. My understanding has come not only from professional training, but from walking my own path of healing. That is why I trust the body’s wisdom so deeply—because I have experienced its capacity to transform from the inside out.
Today, Art of Flow is the expression of everything I have learned—through professional training, through my own healing journey, and through the privilege of accompanying thousands of people as they reconnect with themselves.
I don’t see healing as something I do to another person.
I see it as something that naturally unfolds when the body feels deeply listened to.
My role is to offer a space where that listening can happen—with presence, gentleness, and respect for your own inner wisdom.
Whether we work together through gentle hands-on therapy, somatic inquiry, or systemic exploration, my intention is always the same: to guide you come home to yourself.
Because I believe healing isn’t about becoming someone different.
It’s about remembering who you’ve always been beneath everything you’ve had to carry.
Professional Training
My approach has been shaped by many teachers, traditions, and therapeutic approaches. Each has offered a different lens for understanding the human experience, while deepening my trust in the body’s innate wisdom and capacity for healing.

Beyond the Therapy Room
My work extends beyond one-on-one sessions.
For many years, I was the co-founder of Padma NYC Meditation & Holistic Center in Union Square, New York, where I co-created and facilitated meditation classes, group healing programs, workshops, and retreats. Padma became a vibrant community dedicated to mindfulness, embodiment, and holistic well-being. Although the physical center closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, its spirit continues to live on through the retreats, meditation offerings, and communities I continue to support in different parts of the world.
Creativity has also remained an essential part of my life. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a fashion designer, and today I continue to create ethical, nature-inspired clothing through my line, Farms NYC. Whether designing clothing, creating welcoming spaces, or holding therapeutic sessions, I am drawn to the same intention: cultivating beauty, simplicity, and environments where people can feel more at ease.
I continue to travel regularly between Japan, Europe, and the United States, offering workshops and retreats while staying connected to the people, places, and traditions that have shaped my life. These experiences continually remind me that healing is not confined to the therapy room. It lives in community, in nature, in meaningful relationships, and in the quiet moments when we allow ourselves to slow down and simply be.
At the heart of everything I do is the same intention: to create spaces where people feel safe enough to listen deeply, reconnect with themselves, and remember the sense of wholeness that has always been within them.
Looking back, I can see that although my work has taken many forms—from fashion design to meditation, from creating community through Padma NYC to holding one-on-one therapeutic sessions—the intention has always been the same.
To create spaces where people can slow down, feel deeply listened to, reconnect with themselves, and remember the wholeness that has always been within them.
For me, this is the heart of Art of Flow.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I look forward to meeting you wherever you are on your journey. It would be an honor to accompany you as healing unfolds in its own time and in its own way.
